Public bug reported: binary nautilus-script-audio-convert contains a call to nautilus-script- manager to enable the script. While the thing is broken per se, as reported in bug #130055, which is however a simple wishlist, the real bug, mentioned in the end, comes if the package is removed by some user which didn't install it.
To reproduce, assuming you don't have the package installed just do: sudo apt-get install nautilus-script-audio-convert sudo su apt-get remove nautilus-script-audio-convert There are two possible fixes: - catch the error nautilus-script-manager raises and just go on - remove completely the call, upload nautilus-scripts-manager (http://www.pietrobattiston.it/nautilus-scripts-manager/) to Universe, replace the Depends on nautilus-script-manager with a Recommends on nautilus-scripts-manager (notice the "s"). This would fix #130055 too. ** Affects: audio-convert (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- bad script activation breaks apt/dpkg https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/406798 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
