[Bug 410446] Re: pulseaudio doesn't remember last volume, sets to 0 every boot
I have this problem too (in Karmic RC), however it doesn't happen to me on every boot... Do you use Automatic login? because I deactivated automatic login (in GDM) and i don't have this problem anymore... I have one little question... - Does alsa-utils starts before or after X Window System start? If it starts after... is there any way to start alsa-utils before starting X Window System? I think this could be a solution for this bug. I thought this because i noticed that if the mixer that comes with ubuntu by default start before alsa-utils, the master volume will reset to 0. I'm a non english native speaker, i hope that you will understand what i mean in this post. -- pulseaudio doesn't remember last volume, sets to 0 every boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410446 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 410446] Re: pulseaudio doesn't remember last volume, sets to 0 every boot
Similar is happening here on a Dell Latitude D-820 running Kubuntu Karmic Koala up-to-date (as today). Really annoying, after every reboot the PCM value is down to zero, and I have to manually bring it up so that I can listen something. Interestingly, I do not have the issue that the volume changes between playing songs. * PulseAudio configured for per-user sessions Linux dell 2.6.31-11-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Fri Sep 25 06:37:23 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux -- pulseaudio doesn't remember last volume, sets to 0 every boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410446 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
