Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz
It's been an annoyance since at least Hardy.. I didn't report at the time because compiz was newly integrated in the main distribution, so I thought it would get fixed someday. But now I'm running Karmic and it's still there. Steps to reproduce; 1. Install Compiz Settings Manager 2. Spend a lot of time configuring Compiz to your taste 3. Right-Click on the desktop -> Change Desktop Background 4. Disable the Desktop Effects 5. Re-enable them 6. All settings are gone I know you can export Compiz settings, and that's what I've been doing for a long time, but it still gets annoying to reload them each time I enable/disable desktop effects. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- compiz settings manager lose configuration when disabling/enabling effects https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415646 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
