I can confirm too, with MacBook with xinerama and dapper (i haven't
tested with edgy).

With 3 people experiencing this bug, I'm marking it confirmed.

This appears to be a result of using Twinview or Xinerama.  When I drop
Twinview and use just a single screen, the icons don't blend together at
all.

Just to pipe in here, I'm getting this same bug too.  Running KDE 3.5.3
and TwinView on an NVIDIA XFX 6800 GS.

I've tried it with the default bootsplash (Noah's screenshot) and also a
silver MoodinKDE splash theme.
