I would be willing to support debugging of a package. I found the Brother drivers linked above and tried to install them but I cannot see any success and I don't know where to start with reporting bugs... ;-( I also tried to download ptouch drivers at http://www.diku.dk/hjemmesider/ansatte/panic/P-touch/ I compiled them (as root) with - ./configure - make - make install - copied manually the ptouch.xml into /usr/share/foomatic/db/source/driver - the I ran foomatic-ppdfile -p Brother-QL-500 ql-500.ppd and got a ppd-file After Installing manually the ppd file in the cups interface I cannot print anything. As attachment you will find the error_log (partially) of cups.
