[Bug 437868] Re: File - Install will install the wrong app

2010-01-06 Thread Gary Lasker
This bug has been fixed in software-center - 1.1.7. Applications can
now be installed and removed directly from the applications list view.
The menu items listed below are enabled/disabled consistent with the
state of the selected app in the list after filtering/searching and when
switching between Get Software and Installed Software views. In
addition, the menu items become correctly disabled when navigating to
category or subcategory views:

   File-Install
   File-Remove
   Edit-Copy Web Link

[Bug 437868] Re: File - Install will install the wrong app

2009-09-28 Thread Matthew Paul Thomas
** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: software-center
+ 1. Launch the Center.
+ 2. Navigate to a department, e.g. Accessories.
+ 3. Select an application, e.g. Akonaditray.
+ 4. Open the File menu.
+ 5. Navigate to the application screen.
+ 6. Navigate back to the Get Free Software screen.
+ 7. Open the File menu.

- If you select an app, open it's info, close it's tab and then just select
another app without opening it's info, the File - Install is still enabled.
- If you use it will install the previously selected (and now closed) app.
+ What happens:
+ 4. Install is not available, when it should be.
+ 7. Install is available, when it should not be.
