Public bug reported:

The latest updates to karmic (Oct 2) required a restart.  There was also
a dialogue window about whether to delete 5 (6?) obsolete files.  The
"restart required" flashed up a moment after the "delete?" window and
covered it.  I chose "restart later" which allowed me to get at the
confirmation delete the obsolete files.

I don't know whether just hitting "restart" would have caused problems.
If yes, then that sequence needs cleaning up before the next batch of
updates requiring a restart.

(Karmic looks beautiful, fast, and stable, by the way! :D )
