I have probably a similar problem now with openoffice on hardy heron. For some reason the numerical characters are not always converted the right way. Digits becoming some weird greek, arabian signs.. I noticed that this bug's status was changed to invalid and that the last reply I sent didn't seem to make it into the bug report (probably my fault). The content of my reply was it still happens with the same examples I posted originally. I doesn't bother me that the bug was closed--I don't encounter it any more because I've changed the way I do things.
