Update Manager crashed while downloading packages/sources. 
Following error message displayed while trying to reload, mark all upgrades and 
applying changes:
E: The package index files are corrupted. No Filename: field for package 
libpython2.6.
E: Unable to lock the download directory
While trying to upgrade "update manager" thru software-center following error 
message is displayed:
"E:The package index files are corrupted. No Filename: field for package 
update-manager-core.: "
