The module option was removed from lucid and turned on by default if the hardware supports it. Having dug around in the guts of this machine, it looks like the bluetooth bit is 'optional' for this particular submodel - so the hardware actually isn't there. I have an HP mini 110-3016tu. I am having the same problem. bluetoothd[1108]: Failed to find Bluetooth netlink family this is in syslog.1 Bluetooth seems to start initializing but I cannot seem to use my bluetooth... System - Preferences - Bluetooth says that there are no Bluetooth adapters found.
