I believe that this bug has been corrected in Ubuntu hardy openoffice.org 1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3 so I am marking it as Fix Released. If after upgrading you continue to have problems with this issue then feel free to reopen this bug. find the spadmin application in the open office tree, confusingly this isnt in /usr/bin: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/spadmin run this, choose properties, click on the (system configured) lpr command in the list box, mine is 'lpr -P LaserJet-4100-Series-v.3010.107-Postscript-(recommended) and hit ok. had a reply from open offiuce forum which helps solve the problem: - start spadmin at openoffice/program/spadmin and define your default printer.
