Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
1) Ubuntu 9.10 2) gdm: 2.28.1-0ubuntu2.1 3) When using "face-browser" mode I except the login screen to never show any plain-text input. 4) As soon as you start typing (without having selected a user yet) everything you type will be shown in a small text box in the lower right corner. I guess this happens since the users are arranged in a list and this should help you to select a user via the keyboard. However, in a hurry one might simply start typing his/her password which then of course is visible in plain-text. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- when accidentally typing your password in face browser it will show up in plain text https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/509999 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
