You need a Feature Freeze exception [1] for the sync. Either delay your request to lucid+1 or provide the required information for the freeze exception. [Bug 519996] Re: Sync google-perftools 1.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
Found the fix in fedoras rpm cvs. It's a sideissue with newer GLIBC See https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libunwind/+bug/522106 for the real bug ;) Uploaded a fixed libunwind already, and now we need to un-P-a-S libunwind for i386 and amd64 -- Sync google-perftools 1.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/519996 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 519996] Re: Sync google-perftools 1.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
Moins, the libunwind source is only build on ia64, not on amd64 neither on i386 https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libunwind/0.99-0.2 You are right, when you say, it should be build on all other archs. As Michael stated, please ask someone from the buildd admins team to unbreak libunwind to be accepted and build also for the other archs != ia64 Regards, \sh PS: I'm taking this bug pls update this report when we are able to have libunwind built on all other archs, Thx :) -- Sync google-perftools 1.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/519996 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 519996] Re: Sync google-perftools 1.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
In Debian libunwind7 exists now on amd64 too (formerly only on ia64). Both Debian and Ubuntu has libunwind in P-a-S restricting it to build only on ia64. The Debian amd64 debs got directly uploaded with the source (so circumvented P-a-S). To get a libunwind build for amd64 on Ubuntu amd64 has to be added to the libunwind entry in P-a-S. -- Sync google-perftools 1.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/519996 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 519996] Re: Sync google-perftools 1.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
Looking at https://savannah.nongnu.org/news/?group=libunwind, the package should build on x86, x86_64, ARM, MIPS, and PowerPC. So why not change the Architecture to any? -- Sync google-perftools 1.5-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/519996 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
