Please file separate bugs for your issues. It is very difficult to
track multiple problems from a single bug report.

[Bug 546725] Re: Installer of Kubuntu 10.04 crashed and is slow

2010-04-12 Thread mrbean71
Downloaded Beta2 burned CD then choosed try and install.
Now installer (I choosed italian again) is faster (read slow but usable) but it
crash when I was selecting how to use partition and what format.
Since I have a partition for /home I have to choose how to use my HD,
Usually during installation I choose the partition for / and I format it, I
choose the partition for /home without format to preserve it.

[Bug 546725] Re: Installer of Kubuntu 10.04 crashed and is slow

2010-03-31 Thread mrbean71
Guys same effect here, Im happy user of kubuntu from 7.04.
I downloaded Luci Lynx beta 1 to give a try on my DELL 530 inspiron (desktop
PC) checked image burned and md5summed the cd without errors.
First try I gave a install without test and system crashed, then I tried test
and install, from live system started install kubuntu then everithing started
to be extremely slow (read unusable), pass from a step to the other one was a
pain, finally I arrived to manual partitioning my HD (i wan't choose how to use
my HD) then system advised me installer was crashed, fortunately without any
damage to my partition.
I wan't try to help if I can because this problem is huge.
P.S.: I'm not sure if I tried only choosing italian language later i'llgive a
try choosing english and report
P.S.: I'll try debug mode too

2010-03-26 Thread Krasimir Chonov
It appears that the installer works fine in English language. Please
test it on Bulgarian language. Today i`ve tested the installer on
Bulgarian language on another 5 computers and it was working extremely
slow and crashed. In english the installation was succesfull, but the
installer don`t offer page for createing new user and so i wasn`t able
to log in.

[Bug 546725] Re: Installer of Kubuntu 10.04 crashed and is slow

2010-03-25 Thread Evan Dandrea
Can you please run the installer in debug mode (press Try Ubuntu to go
to the desktop, then hit alt-F2 and type `ubiquity -d`)? Run the
install until it crashes and then hit alt-F2 again and type `apport-
collect 546725`. This will provide us with more detailed information on
the crash.

Thanks!

[Bug 546725] Re: Installer of Kubuntu 10.04 crashed and is slow

2010-03-25 Thread bfaf
I`ve done as you asked but I faced another problem. Launchpad asked for
authorization and I have allowed 'apport-collect' to change whatever it
likes, but Launchpad said 'To finish authorizing the application
identified as apport-collect to access Launchpad on your behalf you
should go back to the application window in which you started the
process and inform it that you have done your part of the process.'. I
don`t have any window or anything like that. Is there manual way to send
the data?
