Same issue here with Firefox 13. Dragdrop of bookmarks just stops working from time to time. Sometimes I also have the issue that a dragdrop action gets stuck and doesn't register a mouse release, thus I have to kill Firefox to release the input grab. Ingo Ruhnke: The behvior of firefox not releasing the pointer grab is different than the behavior of this bug. For this bug, firefox works continues to work correctly, but you can not do any drag and drop. I have seen the behavior you describe with FF13. For me, it is new with FF13, I didn't run into it in earlier versions. Firefox 10.0.2 and Ubuntu 10.10 user. Same issue - every once in awhile the bookmarks will not allow drag and drop. I just discovered that (on my system at least) the bug can be initiated by visiting Pandora radio for some reason. Perhaps it's something to do with Flash player? 3 times I reproduced same results: drag and drop works fine and then the instant you visit Pandora it suddenly stops working. It's one of those bugs that crops up seemingly randomly - so perhaps being able to reproduce it on demand can help nail down what's causing it... This is not a Ubuntu problem, but a Firefox thingy. Users of MS Windows also reported the same problem. You can fix this problem by doing the following steps: Quit Mozilla Firefox Go to ~\.mozilla\firefox Rename profiles.ini to (for example) OLDprofiles.ini Start Mozilla The DragDrop function is now working and a new profile is created. To get your bookmarks back: quit Mozilla Firefox, go again to the folder ~\.mozilla\firefox remove the fresh created profiles.ini and corresponding folder.
