This still happens; I've got a D610 running Gutsy. Natively, I can get no sound through the docking station's TRS headphone jack while docked. @fisherman783: Thanks for the link to the forum thread. The 'fix' described there works. But then, it seems to be like an on/off switch. Having the same issue here. I have a dell d610 with fiesty, all updates. When docked, sound works from laptop speakers or on board headphone jack, unless there are speakers plugged into the docking station's headphone jack, in which case there is no sound at all. Hi Stehane and others, i have the same problem like Vikas ... When plugin in the Speakers in the DockingStation the Sound is gone. I am using the 7.04 version of ubuntu (same problem was also under Hoary - never tested on Dapper cause the update from hoary-dapper was not as smooth and due to needed proprietary programs i switched to win for a year now).
