Question: did you try to encrypt your $HOME directory when installing? I eventually managed to install the system. Mine was a hardware problem, there were bad sectors on a part of the HD, and the installation probably failed to write on the disk. I re-partitioned the hard disk not allocating the first two Gb's and everything ran smoothly. I guess this bug can be closed, at least for me.
