If this is still happening for you, could you please generate an apport crash report for this? You can enable apport for one instance like this: sudo service apport start force_start=1 I am marking this invalid as apport will open a new bug when the crash is generated. Yes the problem is resolved. Thank you for trying to reproduce the bug with a new profile. Have you noticed if there is anything that the sites have in common other than the URL format? For example, do each of the sites causing Firefox to crash have Flash elements? Draycen DeCator I deleted my profile as the ultimate test. U did a full clean out of Firefox, including deleting the Mozilla directory. After installing a default clean install, with no extensions, the problem persists. Completely crashes on the example website and many others. Not sure if this is a Ubuntu Firefox flavor issue, or Firefox general problem. I'm not totally sure the crash is from the url construction. It could be something else. Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. I have tested this with Firefox 3.6 and 3.7 daily builds on my Ubuntu 10.04 desktop, and was unable to reproduce the bug you are experiencing. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one.
