It happened when I was using the pre-release version of Lucid. I forgot exactly how it happened because I am trying to get the 64-bit Ubuntu working. Thank you for the response. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one. Firefox gets buggy when on a secure site and having more than one tab open. Now with all tabs on secure sites, it is even more buggy. When I was doing things on the computer that required the computer to work more, Firefox would respond properly and then not.
