Please note, that the AMD64 box I was reported the bug from is not
available for me now. However here is an x86 box, also running edgy, and
having similar issue, content of /proc/swaps is:

FilenameTypeSizeUsedPriority
/dev/sda1   partition   1004020 117080  -1
/dev/evms/sda1  partition   1004020 0   -2

And output of the command you've asked about:

udev093-0ubuntu11
volumeid093-0ubuntu11
util-linux  2.12r-10ubuntu3

Note, that here is /dev/evms and not /dev/mapper though ...
