[Bug 582815] Re: login screen halted when switching users

2010-07-18 Thread cyrylm
In my case, when two users are logged in, after logging out one of them
the screen turns black, my keyboard gets unresponsive (can't switch to
another tty, after pressing Caps Lock the corresponding light doesn't
flash)

- 2.6.32-24-generic on Lucid Lynx
- NvidiaGeForce2 MX/MX 400
- videocard driver 96.43.17

[Bug 582815] Re: login screen halted when switching users

2010-05-21 Thread Alessio
same problem for me with ubuntu lucid 32bit and nvidia geforce4 4000mx
with nvidia-96 legacy driver, I didn't try with nouveau drivers...

for me when I close the second user session everything seems locked on a
black screen, anyway I can kill xorg with alt+sysrq+k key combination
and this kick me again to the login screen

[Bug 582815] Re: login screen halted when switching users

2010-05-19 Thread Leandro

One was a laptop with an Intel GMA X3100 and the other is a desktop (64bits)
with a Nvidia GeForce 210.

I clearly see that it will be hard even for me to provide further support in
helping
this bug, but if it is confirmed by other people it should not be low in
importance,
as it implies a full halt of the machine when someone is logged in. On the
machine
which I could not access from outside, I had to hard-reboot. If I had work in
progress
it would be lost, and we are talking about a LTS release.
