[Bug 584893] Re: Dual monitors (CRT+LCD) refresh rate problem
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Natty Narwhal. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. Thanks again and we appreciate your help. ** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/584893 Title: Dual monitors (CRT+LCD) refresh rate problem -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

And one more thing, if I lock (ctrk+l) desktop, this bug doesn't come, both monitors have correct settings when I power them off and on. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in xorg. (With many applications, you can report a future bug directly on the appropriate package by opening the application's Help menu and choosing Report a Problem. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs) ** Package changed: ubuntu = xorg (Ubuntu) -- Dual monitors (CRT+LCD) refresh rate problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/584893 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 584893] Re: Dual monitors (CRT+LCD) refresh rate problem
Now I got second time error/message in Monitor Preferences, after I turned on both monitors (again, CRT is on 60 Hz) and tryed to change frequency back to 85Hz. Message is: Monitor Resolution Settings has detected that the virtual resolution must be set in your configuration file in order to apply your settings. Would you like Screen Resolution to set the virtual resolution for you? (Recommended) I didn't changed anything, just turned off and on both monitors. Virtual resolution is set in xorg.conf After I confirm it (requires password), I have to log out and log in in order to change frequency. Very annoying :( Now, when I opened xorg.conf, virtual resolution is set to some magic number: Virtual 3200 1214 I began with 3200 1200, it was automatically changed to 3200 1205 and now again higher number. -- Dual monitors (CRT+LCD) refresh rate problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/584893 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
