I can confirm that the problem also occurs after a suspend as Human
describes.

[Bug 587512] Re: First imap connection after a new established network connection fails with Failed to connect to server

2010-06-19 Thread Human
This happens under additional circumstances. In my case, a wired
connection, and after Suspend, but also with all (two) accounts IMAP and
SSL. My variant steps to reproduce:

1. Run Thunderbird.
2. Verify that Get Mail works normally in Thunderbird.
3. Suspend the computer.
4. Awaken the computer.
5. Wait for network to re-establish itself.
6. Click Get Mail in Thunderbird.
7. UNEXPECTED dialog Failed to connect to server xy appears!
8. Click it away.
9. Clicking Get Mail again now just works fine.

It doesn't help to disable the offline status detection via
NetworkManager in the config editor (toolkit.networkmanager.disable).
