Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ruby1.8
I first got this error because I was upgrading from 9.10 to 10.04 and lost the Internet connection during the process. When the system came back up, I have been constantly getting this error during updates, although this is the first time the system prompted me to file a bug report.... When Ubuntu installs updates, they seem to install without problem, but always the process ends with an error message saying that a ruby-related package is unconfigured... I can install new software without problem, too, but still with this same error message at the end of the process.... Anyway, thanks for your hard work guys :-) ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: libruby1.8 1.8.7.249-2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.33-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Jun 1 18:50:46 2010 ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) SourcePackage: ruby1.8 Title: package libruby1.8 1.8.7.249-2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 ** Affects: ruby1.8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-package i386 lucid -- package libruby1.8 1.8.7.249-2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/588259 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
