[Bug 590749] Re: Suspend: Brightness permenantly low after resuming Ubuntu
Seems like there is a solution at the bottom there, like I said, can't test myself: DieterVDW wrote on 2010-08-04: After some more research, found the following webpage: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:W510 Solution: Add following line to NVidia Device section in xorg.conf: Option RegistryDwords EnableBrightnessControl=1 -- Suspend: Brightness permenantly low after resuming Ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/590749 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 590749] Re: Suspend: Brightness permenantly low after resuming Ubuntu
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of Gnome Power Manager is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- Suspend: Brightness permenantly low after resuming Ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/590749 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 590749] Re: Suspend: Brightness permenantly low after resuming Ubuntu
Hi, thanks for responding. Unfortunately I've recently formatted my Ubuntu machine with no plans to reinstall at the moment. Will respond to this bug report if I encounter the problem again in the future. [Bug 590749] Re: Suspend: Brightness permenantly low after resuming Ubuntu
I can confirm this brightness -issue up to that point that the brightness is lower when waking from suspend, not always but usually when doing first suspend - wake sequence after the machine has been booted to Ubuntu. I have Acer Travelmate 5520, graphics card is Radeon X1250 and OS is Ubuntu 10.04. -- Suspend: Brightness permenantly low after resuming Ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/590749 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
