[Bug 591016] Re: Wireless network connection stopped working
This is probably related to some iwl3945 problems reported upstream. In my case, it is unable to configure network IP address using DHCP. You should see some messages in system log. Also you can try static IP configuration. If you are not using Intel 3945 wifi, ignore my hint and provide your HW configuration, because in bug description is only unrelated sound card description. -- Wireless network connection stopped working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/591016 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 591016] Re: Wireless network connection stopped working
Thanks koso, this seems to be exactly the problem I'm having. Same driver, and it works when using a static IP config. I'm not sure what upstream bug to link to this. [Bug 591016] Re: Wireless network connection stopped working
The daily builds are complete now, so I have tested this with: 2.6.35-999-generic_2.6.35-999.20100653_i386 Unfortunately, the same problem seems to persist. ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing -- Wireless network connection stopped working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/591016 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 591016] Re: Wireless network connection stopped working
Hi Sander, If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. [This is an automated message. [Bug 591016] Re: Wireless network connection stopped working
Thanks for the reply, Jeremy. I'm not sure what packages to install. Currently, the 'daily/current' directory [1] shows 2010-06-08-maverick which only contains -headers and -source packages. I didn't find any other versions for Maverick that also contain -image. Could you give a more specific pointer of a kernel to test?
