For me tabs disappear when they become too narrow. Even normal ones. I was using both chromium-browser and Google Chrome Unstable, and this problem suddenly appeared during some recent updates of other packages in Maverick (unfortunately I'm not sure which ones.) Along with the flickering problem is one which I believe is related. If a tab is pinned, everything works fine except that the pinned tab is not visible. There is simply some space allocated to where it *should* appear on the left of the tab area.
