Still present in gwibber 3.2.0-0ubuntu2 in Oneiric. Besides this, just about everything with scrolling in Gwibber seems broken to me in various ways. I think this is equally noticeable in the GTK version of gwibber (3.1.6). It is quite hard to visually follow the stream while scrolling with these discrete jumps. I think the human eye needs a hit as to how far/how fast an item moved. I've implemented smooth scrolling since I wanted this myself and is very easy to do, works fine in Gwibber 2.32.2 and trunk, but if I understand this tweet correctly: http://twitter.com/gwibber/status/1748239673982976 it looks like there's work going on to replace the HTML based views with GTK views, which would make the patch obsolete.
