[Bug 63602] Re: aticonfig command fails under Xgl

2007-09-24 Thread Chris Halse Rogers
This is pretty much impossible with the way Xgl works at the moment.
While it's a reasonable request, it's not something we can fix. Marking
as WontFix.

John Dong's work-around will work, however.

Xgl does not work for ATI extensions. Try instead:

DISPLAY=:0 aticonfig

[Bug 63602] Re: aticonfig command fails under Xgl

2007-03-19 Thread Sitsofe Wheeler
Thanks for your bug report.

This doesn't surprise me - Xgl is highly unlikely to to ever support the
X extension that lets the ATI proprietary tools talk directly to the
driver as it sits on top of another X.

Unfortunately it's probably best to reject this bug (and ask ATI to
implement texture_to_pixmap so that you can use AIGLX)...

2006-10-02 Thread Dave Rosky
I Forgot to mention, this problem is in Dapper (fully updated), using
the current xgl-xserver package from the universe repository -
7.0.0+cvs20060625.
