Public bug reported: Binary package hint: login
I just installed a fresh Ubuntu 6.06 LTS Server and su segfaults if the first character typed at the 'Password:' prompt is Ctrl-D. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ su Password: Segmentation fault [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ (obviously I typed a Ctrl-D there to make it crash :-)) I'm unsure if this is really a security issue, but as the 'su' binary is setuid root, it could potentially be a problem and have marked it as such. ** Affects: shadow (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Visibility changed to: Public -- su segfaults when you press Ctrl-D https://launchpad.net/bugs/64870 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
