This bug was reported against and old version of Unity. The new version of Unity is almost an entire rewrite based on very different technologies. David, this seems like a program called maximus is running, which it shouldn't be in 10.10 at all. In fact, it's still decorated by hidden behind the panel, so you have to Alt + click on the window to move it. The thing it the position of the window is saved in the topmost past of the window - decator position, hence the error.
