Finally we have bought a motherboard model fully supported in 10.04. I can not keep doing tests on this hardware because we returned the Gigabyte G41MT-D3 to the supplier. [Bug 665189] Re: [HDA-Intel - HDA Intel] ALSA test tone not correctly played back.
also using force as root is a REALLY dumb idea, if you screw up the command and unleash some unholy command you can EASILY ruin your OS without any effort at all, using rm -rf as a standard command is one of the worst habits a user can form. The data is in $HOME and only used when pulseaudio starts, so force is NOT needed. -- [HDA-Intel - HDA Intel] ALSA test tone not correctly played back. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/665189 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm pretty sure you don't want to do that as root.
