[Bug 667698] Re: Gwibber doesn't use webbrowser to authenticate twitter, instead asking users to put in password into the application
Currently gwibber uses an embedded web browser to handle the authorization, it doesn't see any passwords. However, there are plans to remove the gwibber accounts dialog completely and use a more system wide solution, which should handle oauth much better. I marked this as won't fix, because the tool in question should be removed completely. ** Changed in: gwibber Importance: Wishlist = Undecided ** Changed in: gwibber Status: New = Won't Fix ** Changed in: gwibber (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged = Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667698 Title: Gwibber doesn't use webbrowser to authenticate twitter, instead asking users to put in password into the application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gwibber/+bug/667698/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
