[Bug 677242] Re: cannot read big file on sdhc card in camera
I have noticed that two of the people, who have commented, report trying to copy video. So I thought it might be helpful to note that I have the same problem, only it occurred for me while trying to copy audio (*.wav). This occurs on a computer running Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit. Copying through CLI gives input/output error, copying through GUI gives splicing error, resulting in corrupt files in the destination directory. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/677242 Title: cannot read big file on sdhc card in camera -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 677242] Re: cannot read big file on sdhc card in camera
I have this exact same problem. Trying to copy and paste a video file off of the card (which is in the camera) results in a progress bar that lasts a long time and it never copies. When I try to copy the file from the command line I get: cp -v 100_3676.MOV ~/Desktop/ `100_3676.MOV' - `/home/robert/Desktop/100_3676.MOV' cp: cannot open `100_3676.MOV' for reading: Input/output error Using gphoto2 -P it downloads fine. Need info: What happens if you try to copy it from the terminal with cp -v? Hello This happens only with sdhc or with everythings ? Right-click on this file, properties, permission, who is the owner ? have you got permission on this file ? Thanks Fabio -- cannot read big file on sdhc card in camera https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/677242 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 677242] Re: cannot read big file on sdhc card in camera
gphoto2://[usb:001,010] is the position of the camera in gnome file system, I don't know how I can access it from the command line. So I don't know how I can copy it with cp. From nautilus, looking for file permissions, it says unable to determine file permissions. If I umount the camera, gphoto2 -P downloads the file from nautilus, double clicking on a 163MB file opens it with video player. It happens with sdhc and with sd cards ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: Incomplete = New -- cannot read big file on sdhc card in camera https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/677242 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
