I also got this trouble after installing Nvidia Drivers. Now the splash screen is working on text-mode. Yes, i confirm it, I activated the propetary nvidia drivers after the installation and in the splash screen it overwrite execution lines through the screen.Thanks for reporting this bug. I beleive this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.
