[Bug 691957] Re: Failure when upgrading the system (broken packages)
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal: sudo apt-get clean Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your issue, but the failure could be caused by filesystem or memory corruption. So please also run a fsck on your filesystem(s) and a memory test. Thanks in advance! ** Changed in: dpkg (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/691957 Title: Failure when upgrading the system (broken packages) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpkg/+bug/691957/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 691957] Re: Failure when upgrading the system (broken packages)
I can't read french, but: dpkg-deb (sous-processus) : données : erreur de lecture interne de gzip : « fd:0: data error » dpkg-deb: le sous-processus decompress a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 2 dpkg : erreur de traitement de /var/cache/apt/archives/libgtk2.0-0_2.23.2-0ubuntu4_i386.deb (--unpack) : Looks for me like a problem with dpkg-deb (which is a dpkg tool) - reassigned. Could you run commands you want to show in a bug report please in an english local - e.g. by export LANG=C in the console before running any command. Or for a single command e.g.: LANG=C dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/libgtk2.0-0_2.23.2-0ubuntu4_i386.deb ** Package changed: apt (Ubuntu) = dpkg (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/691957 Title: Failure when upgrading the system (broken packages) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
