I've just upgraded to LibreOffice. Calc and Writer both exhibit the
behaviour described in the bug report. Pressing Alt, then letting go and
changing to the different window with Alt+Tab keeps the menu visible
without an ability to close it (without changing back to the LO window).

better. I could not reproduce this bug in Ubuntu 10.10 via LibreOffice
Calc. Does this work for you?
