[Bug 713186] Re: theme resets to default grey theme on boot. have to logout and back to get my theme again

I also have this problem. Is there any script i can set to run
automatically at start to circumvent this bug? It's annoying to log out
and in everytime after booting my netbook.

2011-02-09 Thread noah bb
instead of logging out and back you can also go to
SystemPreferencesAppearance and the theme will reset back to normal
automatically. to return the nautilus theme open the terminal and type:
'ps x -e | grep nautilus'
and then 'kill -9' plus the process number.
getting tired of having to do this every time. thinking of reverting back to
10.04

2011-02-05 Thread Matt Brewster
This also happens to me, since the last set of automatic updates (some
of which I believe were gnome-related). I've attached my .xsession-
errors, which includes the following error:

Starting gtk-window-decorator
I/O warning : failed to load external entity
/home/matt/.compiz/session/10de87f9c1a829013c12969015233286340018210029

** Message: applet now embedded in the notification area
The program 'gnome-settings-daemon' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
  (Details: serial 1228 error_code 8 request_code 3 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

I'm running 10.10 on a Toshiba Tecra M10 (Intel graphics)
