I forgot to add that killing Thunderbird and then restarting it didn't make a difference - it'd still open as shown in the Screenshot. Yes to both points. I do indeed have wobbly windows enabled. The bug does sound similar to 727060, but I cannot reproduce it following the steps indicated.
