[Bug 730758] Re: Realtek driver for r8192se_pci

2011-06-28 Thread Jose Marquez
Here's a potential solution: Realtek drivers from June 20, 2011, which
solved the issue for me. I attached the package they sent me over at
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1267961page=14

Hope this helps.

on the wifi manager to connect again for it to start working again

iwconfig gives me this:

dmesg gives loads of these:

[Bug 730758] Re: Realtek driver for r8192se_pci

2011-03-28 Thread Jeremy Foshee
Hi George,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.
Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the
upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be
done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the
bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text.
Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

Bug is not in upstream-testing becuase there is no module
8192se_pci.ko which should be located in
kernel/ubuntu/rtl8192se/r8192se_pci.ko
