However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - VIvid Vervet. This is a significant bug in Ubuntu. This did not occur for me until I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04. I use Unity and when I use super+w to switch applications the super key gets stuck every time! Now remmina is unusable. Confirmed January 18th, still unassigned... Really? Incidentally, with 0.9.3 here, pressing Super once, as suggested in the above link, does nothing. I get a similar problem using the nx protocol to a Linux machine. The shift key frequently gets stuck. If I type enough characters with the shift key held/released it usually gets unstuck eventually, until the next time.
