I just sussed out how to stop this: make sure listen is not running (including in the system tray), then edit the config file '~/.listen/config' Look for a config entry called 'dynamic', then set its value to false. I think this is equivalent to clicking the icon that looks like a CD below the playlist on the right, but doing it this way makes sure you have the right value set, as the action of this icon is a bit ambiguous (you can't tell whether it is selected or unselected).
