[Bug 747038] Re: Empathy segfaulting on natty
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: empathy Status: New = Invalid ** Changed in: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: empathy (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Attachment removed: Core Dump https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/747038/+attachment/1962524/+files/_usr_bin_empathy.1000.crash -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/747038 Title: Empathy segfaulting on natty -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 747038] Re: Empathy segfaulting on natty
I forgot to mention, I have Empathy's various folders syncing with Ubuntu One (doesn't do anything for the accounts, but it keeps my logs backed-up in case I accidentally them). Can someone move this over to Empathy? [Bug 747038] Re: Empathy segfaulting on natty
Same problem here. It only occurs when a contact changes status. I could reproduce it by running pidgin with another account in parallel. When a MSN contact goes from online to offline, or from offline to online, empathy segfaults. When the MSN contact changes to another status (away, busy) empathy does not segfault. I didn't test with other account than MSN. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/747038 Title: Empathy segfaulting on natty -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
