[Bug 752950] Re: Dependency listed wrongfully as Suggest
The original reason for dssi-host-jack not being a "depends" (dssi-host-jack not built on kfreebsd arch) is no longer a reason. I think "recommends" is the relevant fix, as hexter can also be run in other hosts (e.g. Carla currently in the NEW queue). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/752950 Title: Dependency listed wrongfully as Suggest To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hexter/+bug/752950/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

That is because dssi-host-jack is not actually needed. You can load Hexter into any DSSI-compatible host as well as any DSSI plugin.

[Bug 752950] Re: Dependency listed wrongfully as Suggest
If jack-dssi-host is not installed Hexter will not run from the menu. After adding jack-dssi-host manually I could start Hexter from the menu.
