@Salva, since you have a different video card and seem to have narrowed it to your video driver, I think it would be better for you to file as a separate bug report. If you could re-test against oneiric (or even precise) that would be a help. File the bug using the command: ubuntu-bug xorg which will collect the required logs and such. One thing that would be helpful is to ssh into the machine after it's 'hung' and collect the output of 'dmesg'.
