I also have this bug, I've tested with my Razer DeathAdder, it's doing the exact same thing, then I tested with my Razer Copperhead (plugged in at the same time) and no problem! I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 64bit, all packages up-to-date. Tell me what information you need besides that so I can help you. It's unlikely to be xinput's fault. The video driver would be a better guess. However, it's also possible there's a conflict with the glx in ia32-libs.
