It's worth noting that 10.04 LTS, which will be supported until 2015, shipped with SSSD 1.0.5. Not sure whether this was an LTM release or not. Stephen, how long are LTM release of SSSD are being maintained? Etienne, it's actually not definite yet. SSSD 1.5.x is the first long- term maintenance branch we've declared. In general, as the SSSD upstream is largely sponsored by Red Hat and is a main component of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, it would be reasonable to assume that it will be maintained until the version included in Red Hat Enterprise Linux is no longer supported. RHEL 6.0 shipped with 1.2.1, but it was decided that it was insufficient.
