So I unplugged - replugged the mouse, nothing changed. I unplugged - replugged the switch and Unity crashed, re-started, and it worked again. But I'm not sure it will always be like this : After some time, when it freeze (even if it's not a real freeze), I restart Unity (Ctrl+alt+F1 - logon - unity (or unity --reset)) and it's doesn't work. More of that, I discovered that I can continue to click in the firefox window, but not anywhere else (even if I change window by Alt Tab). I think there are no problems with easy stroke : I don't have it install. I will try tomorrow (I have the computer only during week, and from 9 to 17). The special case here is that the mouse (as the keyboard) is shared between two computers via a switch : http://www.belkin.com/au/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=530063 . I don't think it's due to the switch, as if I reboot it works again, monitor / keyboard and mouse switching works well, keyboard and monitors don't have these problems, and mouse cursor always move, I just can't click anywhere after some time. Nope it's USB in my case, it should work. It's full USB (switch-to-PC and Mouse-to-switch). I can confirm a condition that sounds similar on Ubuntu 11.04, classic desktop (using focus-follows- mouse and ring-switcher, but these settings seem to make no difference). While browsing/doing anything, every now and then, a click or a mouse wheel action has simply no effect. When I try again, it sometimes works, and sometimes not. It may help when I move the mouse around, but sometimes it seems I have to wiggle the window position before buttons, edit fields etc. become responsive again. It's maddening... I'm having the same problem, also with Fireworks CS3 in Wine. I upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04 yesterday and today i noticed i'm having this problem.
