Re: [Bug 763155] Re: ntfsresize detected bad sectors but chkdsk does not.

That is the only common thing between reinstalls that include formattign the hd. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/763155 Title: ntfsresize detected bad sectors but chkdsk does not. I met this issue either. I have been blocked by this bug 747579 Ubiquity gets stuck at restoring previous packages Then I rebooted system after hours waiting. I tried the installation reported in 74579 again, then the ubi-usersetup occurred. Then I tried to format my disk and try a fresh install. The ubi-usersetup still there. And in the end, the installation crashed. My partition is /boot ext4 /Reiserfs swap is seperate The screen shot is in attachment ** Attachment added: "screen shot of install crash" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-ntfs/+bug/763155/+attachment/2162453/+files/Screenshot-2.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/763155 Title: ntfsresize detected bad sectors but chkdsk does not. [Bug 763155] Re: ntfsresize detected bad sectors but chkdsk does not.
Here is the syslog from the beta1 install. No error 10 and no ntfs error. beta1 has ntfsresize 2.0.0, same as beta2. It seems there is some parallelism, while you answer the dialogs in ubiquity, some copying and partman actions are occurring on another thread. Where to now? ** Attachment added: "syslog_fresh_install_beta1.7z" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-ntfs/+bug/763155/+attachment/2082941/+files/syslog_fresh_install_beta1.7z -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/763155 Title: ntfsresize detected bad sectors but chkdsk does not. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
