I'm having the same problems during (for example) the Evolution (mail) Setup Assistant (wizard dialog boxes). As soon as I trigger a mouseover-event on the main form window (which contains the labels for all UI elements (buttons, input fields) my UI elements in that container form just disappear. I forgot to mention I'm running 11.04 amd64 (running kernel 2.6.38-10-generic) with a Radeon HD5450 1GB DDR3 (low power dual DVI card for my desktop at work) using the opensource AMD Radeon drivers...
